FOTD with Urban Decay Naked Palette

On Friday I had a lunch date planned with some friends so I decided to do a lil extra with the eyes. I hope you like it!

On another note, I think my skin is starting to come back to its senses. I've gone back to using my favorite face wash and drinking lots of water. *fingers crossed*

Smokey Lower Lash Line

You know what I'm feeling lately...smoking out the bottom lash line with shadow. Yup! Makes me feel sexy. Especially with a bold lip.

Also, peep my lash game in the blue liner pics ---> Dior Lash Primer + Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara. Say what??!

After fixing my wet bun, adding MAC's Russian Red lipstick, going out for a drink, then crying off all of my makeup (seriously, don't ask)

On another night, heading out for drinks with the girls.

Naked Smokey Look

Here is my first look using the UD Naked Palette. It can be vamped up with a dark lip or toned down with a more nude lippie. On my face I'm wearing Eve Pearl Salmon concealer, Eve Pearl Foundation, set with Graftobian powder (I love this combo). On the lips are MAC Currant lipliner with MAC Wrong Spell lipglass. The nude lip is a Mary Kay gloss(can't remember the name).

I did not overdo it on the undereye concealer...I get these random yellow patches on my skin, mainly under my eyes. Weird, I know.

Too Much for the Daytime?

A few weeks ago (I know -I am the BEST blogger in the world) I wore this look to work. I was really pleased with the ELF Beauty Encyclopedia Smoky Eyes Edition that I purchased from Target for $5. It has the usual problems that a $5 eyeshadow palette would have, but overall I quite like it.

FACE:
Black Radiance primer
Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer - used under eyes
MAC MSF Natural - a very small amount dusted over face
MAC Sweet as Cocoa blush

EYES:
ELF Primer
Soft Ochre Paint Pot
ELF palette
Urbay Decay 24/7 liner on lower lashline
Can't remember what mascara

LIPS:
Rimmel l/s in Crush 202
NYX l/g in Juicy Red

HAIR:
Blown straight and pressed with a flat iron

Do you think it's too much for work? Oh well -- too late now!

MAC CCO Find - Blue Flame

I was too excited to find MAC Blue Flame eyeshadow at my local CCO. I had been hard pressed for this since it came out with the Style Black Collection in Fall 2009.

Its a mineralized blue color that is super versatile (in my opinion). I had no problems with blending our fallout. This gets two thumbs up from me. You ladies are going to have to pay me to STOP wearing this shadow :-)

click pics to enlarge...I am wearing it over a gray base.

FOTD

I attended a party a few weeks ago with a friend and this is the face I wore :)

As you can see in the first pic, my skin is very dry and in need of some TLC. The last pic was taken at the end of the night, hence the tired *ahem drunk ahem* eyes.

I pulled out the Urban Decay Book of Shadows for this look.

Face:
Victoria Secret Camoflage FX Concealer Palette (thanks Yummy411!)
L'Oreal True Match Superblendable makeup in C6 - this was too light when I purchased in the summer, but matches well now.
NYX blush in Pinky

Eyes:
UDPP
UD Scratch in inner 1/3
UD Shag on middle 1/3
UD Zero on outer v and blended into crease blended with a soft brown color

For the life of me, I cannot recall what I have on my lips.

Peace!
Rashida

It's been a while...

Hi guys! I know it's been a while since my last post but I've been super busy. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was good. Mine was...eventful! I went home to Philly to see my family. The food was great and I got a chance to hang out with my family. Gotta love 'em!

Anyway, I'm happily back in DC and getting back into the swing of things after having 4 days off from work. I definitely need to hit the gym after 4 days of soul food :-(

A few weeks ago I went to a 30th birthday party with a friend and decided to try the Maybelline Natural Smokes Quad that I'd picked up. The colors in the quad are perfect for a smokey eye but I would recommend a colored base. I primed my eye with ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer and used an NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow pencil in Slate as a base. I believe I used ELF Studio Blush in Terra Cotta on my cheeks and a gold glittery Lancome lipgloss on the lips.

I really like the ELF e/s primer. I think it's a great buy for $1.

Let me know what you think about the look.

Till next time...

Peace,
MochaMakeupLover
