Black Opal Concealer

Hi guys,

I've been missing in action for a little while now and I've missed my blog! I'm not neglecting you Beauties, I promise. The weather here has been awful and my skin has been so dry, on top of that I have not been getting much sleep lately so I'm getting some serious dark under eye circles.

The forecast calls for 1 foot of snow tomorrow, so while I was looking for a scraper for my car (in the makeup aisle of Rite Aid..hehe) I came across a concealer that looked promising. It seems that a few of the other concealers that I have leave me with an ashy look so when I spotted the Black Opal flawless concealer I figured I'd give it a try since the package says it's "specifically for Ethnic Skin".

For $4.95 you get a .12 oz of stick concealer (that looks like a tube of lipstick) with a free trial size of a liquid makeup. I purchased the concealer in the shade of Honey - I cannot remember the name of the free foundation but it was not a match for me.

I could not wait to try this product! As soon as I got home I washed and moisturized and applied this concealer to the left side of my face, under my eyes and on some dark blemishes on my chin, then buffed on some MAC MSF Natural in Dark. On the right side of my face I applied L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Concealer in Warm then buffed in the MAC MSF. The Black Opal was very thick and a little difficult to blend but Whoa BABY did I see a difference! See pics below:

The eye on YOUR left was done with the L'Oreal True Match Concealer while the eye on the right was concealed with the Black Opal. You can see some ashiness on the eye with the L'Oreal concealer. The Black Opal eye looks more awake:-) And all of a sudden there are no dark blemishes on my chin. No,I am not smirking...my smile is really THAT crooked! lol

EYES:
ELF Studio e/s primer
L'Oreal HIP duo in Sculpted
MAC MSF Natural in Dark on browbone
ELF Butternut Quad (lightest color as a higlight)
Revlon Double Twist mascara --HATED IT!! More about this mascara later.

Till next time...
Peace,
